Ireland - Sales - Administrator - Electronic Arts

  Duties & Responsibilities: The DBA administers and maintains relational databases and assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of company databases. Partners with developers on data modeling, logical and physical schema design and SQL query tuning. Performs database performance tuning, capacity planning, replication, and other distributed data issues. Develops scripts to automate routine maintenance tasks as appropriate. Maintains and develops database backup/recovery process using RMAN for hot backups and disaster recovery. Automates database monitoring solutions. Creates custom warehouse solution for automated metrics and reporting for both game and business systems.   Skills & Qualifications:   Essential Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 4 years experience in Relational Database Administration in a production environment Significant knowledge of Oracle internals Expert with SQL level tuning, instance level tuning, storage tuning and replication based solutions Knowledge of PL/SQL optimization techniques Able to perform partitioning schemes & pruning Data warehouse experience; custom ETL solutions, dimensional modeling & star schemas, data cubes, custom reporting soluti ...
