Job Purpose: This role is an internal compliance and consulting role working as part of a large team of internal VAT colleagues within the European SSC for Pfizer. The aim of the team is to ensure GFS Europe meets all the VAT compliance requirements of each of the sixteen countries covered by the SSC.       Responsibilities   Overall Responsibility Ensure accurate completion of German VAT returns by reviewing and approving all compliance work (VAT returns, ESL, intrastate, annual returns, etc) of the Indirect Tax Analyst. Provide VAT advice to Pfizer business units and GFS teams for the German market. Provide audit support to the Pfizer business units. Identify VAT recovery opportunities and engage in VAT planning Key Areas of Responsibility • Provide Pfizer business units, GFS departments and GFS VAT Compliance Team with accurate and practical VAT advice on a wide range of business issues across  the above mentioned countries; • Develop market relationships to ensure that VAT advice is centralised towards GFS Europe • Ensure all ad hoc reporting and information tools are available as required by the centre or the markets (e.g. Tax audits) • Manage relationships with external VAT Authorities on routine inquiries and audits; • Identify VAT recovery opportunities and ...
