Høvik - Manufacturing - Det Norske Veritas (DNV)

We need to strengthen our team with two machinery approval engineers. As of today the section consists of 21 highly competent people in all age groups. The section’s main responsibility is approval of machinery components and propulsion systems, including the dynamics in the systems. The section also carries out NOx certification of diesel engines to the MARPOL regulation as well as certification of components to the EU marine directive. Our tasks are diverse, spanning from design approval work to internal development projects and joint industry projects with external clients. In our section, you will be providing technical support to designers, manufacturers and yards, as well as to our DNV surveyors. Through our independent code of business, DNV works closely with all major manufacturers in the maritime equipment industry. By guiding the manufacturers through the approval processes you will work with a multitude of design features and gain unique and specialised technical insight. The rapid development within the field of machinery products and solutions makes our section a dynamic environment as we keep DNV up to speed on how this innovation relates to safety and risk management at sea.
