Desktop implementation project is responsible for the desktop functionality of Nokia MeeGo devices. The desktop implementation is a challenging and exciting combination of middleware and core end-user UI views. Desktop implementation provides UI views for core functionalities such as application launching, multitasking environment, status area and -menu, notification system and lock screen. Desktop implementation is an area of differentiation for device manufacturers.
