Business Development Leader
Zurich Nordic offers local and global insurance programs both standardized as well as individually tailored. Our customers are mainly international and large industrial companies. We are now looking for an outgoing and positive person to join our Customer, Distribution & Marketing team as Business Development Leader.
As Business Development Leader you will:
  • Be working with the Head of Strategy and CUO to develop, build, identify and communicate appropriately Zurich’s risk appetite and associated growth/ business plan for MGA’s, facilities and strategic partnerships
  • Understand global broker strategies in connection with MGA and facilities – ensure this is regularly communicated to key Zurich stakeholders
  • Regularly liaise with global head of MGA’s and facilities in order to align with global initiatives
  • Understand and monitor general country / regional and global trends and best practices for MGA’s and facilities
  • Act as key knowledge holder regarding regulatory developments and sensitivities around MGA’s and facilities
  • Contribute to budgeting process, business development reports and KPI target where appropriate
  • Work with Communication to agree Zurich’s marketing strategy, press coverage and attendance at promotional events around MGA’s and facilities
  • To be the ‘go to’ person for MGA queries
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust pipeline

Qualifications and experience:
  • A real team player with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Experience of dealing with various lines of business
  • A proven track record of successfully dealing with a variety of customer types and propositions, and interacting with brokers / customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Very good communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Ideally several years of general insurance experience

  • High level of project management skills
  • A personal drive to achieve results and make a difference
  • Skills and interest of how to interact with teams across multiple locations and different cultures
  • A awareness of business planning techniques and the ability to implement action plans to achieve financial objectives
  • Strategic vision along with sound operational planning skills
  • Ability to manage Profit and Loss
  • Problem solving, decision making and judgment skills
  • Innovative with the ability to contribute to the development of new products and propositions
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ideally a good understanding and experience from insurance market
