Overview

Please note:  must be bilingual in French and English.

This is your first day as Chief Marketing Officer at Publications Agora France.

You’re given a six (or even seven) figure budget. You have a team of highly motivated writers, marketers, editors, videographers and production staff to work with. Your goal is to turn 8 million euros in to 12 million euros by the end of the year…

How are you going to get there?

If that challenge doesn’t excite you enough to change your current plans and get in right away, then stop reading. This opportunity isn’t right for you. But if your heart rate just went up a notch, your mind is already buzzing with new ideas, tests and campaigns, and you’re thinking “This is the one I’ve been waiting for” then please – let me tell you the full story…

Let's start with their business.

Their mission is to help their readers reach financial freedom by publishing the ideas, strategies, research and information they need to manage their own income and investments. Their work is non-conventional and non-conformist. They know the most widely held beliefs aren’t always the right ones. And they’re willing to take risks and challenge the status quo every day, even if that makes them unpopular.

We have spent the past twenty years growing their business from the ground up; developing an impressive range of products, recruiting some of the most talented writers and thinkers in France, and building an audience of 300k readers.

This is just the beginning. They want to scale up and offer their services to the millions of French investors who do not yet know them. They want to act fast and do well. They're looking for the person who’ll stomp on the accelerator pedal; their first Chief Marketing Officer who will put their thinking to the test and push them to radically increase their audience as well as their income through his or her skills in digital marketing and more specifically in conversion funnels.

This opportunity is not for everyone. They are looking for a direct marketing expert. They operate in a frank and honest culture. They demand results. They are data driven and their expectations are high. They accept failure as long as it is a step towards success.

This role is unlikely to suit someone from a large corporate background. If your first instinct is to ask how many direct reports you’ll have, or how big your office is, or where you get your business cards printed – stand down. There are plenty of great roles out there for you but this isn’t one of them. (Although if you are in this environment, you might still be right for them if you feel stifled, micromanaged and unchallenged. And you can impress them).  It is also unlikely that this position is suitable for a novice person who still needs a mentor.

They are looking for a confirmed marketer with an entrepreneurial soul. You may have started your own business (or are thinking about it), have lots of ideas and skills, but are frustrated by the lack of capital or infrastructure to run them.

You have a serious culture in direct marketing and a passion for conversion funnels. On your nightstand: the latest works by Brian Kurtz, Russell Brunson, or Gary Vee…

You flourish in complete autonomy and you are said to be a natural leader, the one who incites the energy and enthusiasm of your colleagues and for your projects. You are constantly on the lookout for marketing news and are not afraid to think outside the box.

If you know direct marketing, you know Agora. They are the largest and most successful group of financial newsletters in the world. At Publications Agora France, you will be part of this network where marketing budgets are substantial, limited only by your success and your personal ambitions.

You will join an established marketing team with expertise in analysis and direct marketing campaign operations. You will work closely with their publishers to help them achieve their growth goals, while having the opportunity to act on them. You will have a stake in their success, with a competitive salary and a share of their net profit.

If this sounds like you, they’re very keen to connect. Their selection process isn’t likely to be conventional either but send them something that proves why they should pick you above all others and they’ll take it from there.

Qualifications

Some of our recruitment processes are based solely on automated decision-making.  For example, if you state that you do not have the right to work in the UK on your application form, your application will not proceed any further beyond application. You may also be asked questions about your experience and/or qualifications, which if they don’t match the mandatory requirement for the vacancy, again, your application may not proceed any further beyond application. However, if you wish to challenge this outcome, your application will be reviewed by a member of the HR team.
