As a self-reliant Business Development Manager, you will drive pipeline development and market reconnaissance across UK, EMEA, and MENA from London. You’ll identify opportunities, build relationships with corporate occupiers and real estate stakeholders, and convert leads into RFPs while collaborating with global teams. You’ll advise on where to focus BD efforts, attend key events, and shape initiatives to grow IA’s client base. The role blends hands-on market presence with strategic alignment to IA’s brand and services.
Responsibilites
- Identify and pursue new client relationships and decision-makers in real estate-related segments
- Spot opportunities such as lease expiries, breaks, relocations, and market expansion
- Convert qualified leads into RFP opportunities and re-engage dormant clients
- Provide continuous market intelligence across London, UK, EMEA, and MENA
- Advise leadership on BD focus areas and valuable events or PR opportunities
- Develop and execute BD initiatives including events, awards, and speaking engagements
- Attend and prioritize high-value networking events and coordinate introductions with IA leadership
- Own and maintain a structured pipeline and weekly reviews with leadership
- Collaborate with US client services to leverage global connections for EMEA opportunities
- Represent IA confidently, tailoring BD strategies to UK, EMEA, and MENA regions
Key requirements
- Proven BD experience in real estate, workplace design, architecture, or related services
- Strong London market knowledge with existing networks or ability to develop them
- Experience across international markets (EMEA and/or MENA preferred)
- Self-starter who works independently and identifies opportunities proactively
- Excellent organizational skills with pipeline management and reporting
- Effective communicator with credibility on brand, services, and value proposition
- Comfort with events, conversations starter, and building relationships from scratch
