In this senior role, you will lead the commercial function across Stantec’s Global region, shaping growth, profitability and governance. You’ll partner with regional leadership, drive commercial excellence, and act as gatekeeper for risk and policy alignment on new ventures. You will travel to support regional teams, resolve on-site issues, and mentor the next generation of leaders. This is a strategic, globally-facing role with a focus on margins, claims management, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilites

Champion growth and risk mitigation across global projects
Drive commercial excellence to boost profitability and project margins
Gatekeeper for commercial risk; ensure ventures align with policies
Implement best practices to improve margins and focus on claims management
Represent global commercial interests in corporate discussions and bid input
Mentor regional teams and develop future leaders
Travel to supporting regional teams and resolve on-site issues
Strengthen governance and foster transparency and proactive risk management

Key requirements

Seasoned commercial and risk management professional with track record in growth
Experience in commercial management, major projects, claims and variations
Strategic thinker comfortable with project financials and legal terms
Strong leadership presence and exceptional communication across cultures
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to challenge status quo
High cultural competence and ability to work across time zones
