In this role you drive contract excellence for Biogen’s CHAT cluster (Switzerland/Austria). You will manage contract lifecycles, ensure compliance with SOPs and local law, and collaborate with Legal and Corporate functions to align templates and master agreements. You’ll support cross-functional teams, provide guidance on complex contracts, and help govern governance activities. This position combines legal rigor with practical operations to enable secure, efficient business with external partners.

Responsibilites

Draft, review, and manage contracts including procurement and external stakeholder agreements using the Contract Life Cycle Management system
Negotiate terms with internal and external partners and maintain up‑to‑date contract templates to meet legal requirements
Manage end‑to‑end contract lifecycle from creation to signing and monitoring performance
Liaise with Legal Corporate function for local needs analysis, template creation/modification, and master agreements
Provide guidance to various functions on contract-related matters
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all contract-related documents
Support the affiliate with day‑to‑day legal business in collaboration with Corporate Counsel
Support corporate administration activities including Board and shareholder matters, powers of attorney, and governance issues
Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on contract topics and best practices

Key requirements

5+ years of relevant contract management experience, preferably in pharma/life sciences
Experience in contract negotiation, creation, and lifecycle management
Deep knowledge of contract law and local pharmaceutical regulations in Switzerland and/or Austria
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Fluent in local language and English
