Responsibilites
- Align teams on priorities with measurable business impact
- Set goals, drive execution, and uphold high standards
- Communicate context clearly, surface issues early, celebrate wins
- Bridge business needs and technical work to explain purpose and impact
- Make quick, well-reasoned decisions in complex situations
- Hire and mentor engineers, support their development
- Structure teams with clear roles and ownership
- Raise engineering quality through ADRs, design reviews, and documentation
- Collaborate with product and business to break silos and meet expectations
- Foster a culture of trust, inclusion, and psychological safety
Key requirements
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams
- Ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfort with architecture discussions and non-micromanaged leadership
- Proven track record of hiring and developing engineers
- Ability to operate across strategy and execution
- Demonstrated impact in fast-paced, ambiguity-filled environments
