In this role you contribute to business-critical applications for Swiss financial markets within agile Scrum teams. You own features end-to-end—from design to deployment and operations—driving scalable, secure software using modern Java and web technologies. You work closely with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to shape technical architecture and delivery. The position blends software craftsmanship with modern architecture in a collaborative, self-organized environment. This is an opportunity to impact financial market processes at scale.

Responsibilites

Design and implement complex software solutions for the Swiss financial market with stakeholders
Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and operations
Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices
Develop scalable, secure applications using modern Java and web tech
Be an active, experienced member of a self-organized Scrum team and drive continuous improvement
Promote engineering excellence via code reviews, testing, and best practices
Support and improve CI/CD processes and DevOps-driven delivery
Build and maintain solutions on Kubernetes or OpenShift
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment

Key requirements

Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
4–6 years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with modern Java and web technologies
Experience designing and building scalable software systems
Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs
Experience with SDLC best practices
Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented with good communication and collaboration
Financial services or banking experience is a plus
Fluent English required; German is a strong asset
