As Leading Civil Design Manager, you guide civil engineering across international data centre projects, shaping robust, future-ready designs. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, translate client needs into high-quality civil solutions, and drive delivery from concept to commissioning. This role sits at the heart of COWI’s data centre growth, offering cross-border collaboration and opportunities to expand expertise in a strategic, sustainability-driven market. You will influence how clients and partners realise reliable, efficient infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilites

Act as Discipline Lead on international data centre projects, ensuring technical quality and high-quality design documentation
Manage international data centre clients and stakeholders, translating requirements into robust civil designs and ensuring client expectations are met
Support projects across the full lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through design, construction, and commissioning—particularly within drainage, road design, and underground utility coordination
Collaborate with multidisciplinary international teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
Contribute to the development of the department’s international market and business

Key requirements

Educational background in civil engineering or a related field
Experience with an engineering design consultancy and site experience
Knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools
Experience with data centre projects or other large-scale, mission-critical/industrial projects
Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Resourceful mindset and ability to manage responsibilities in a rapid work setting
