In this leadership role, you drive Biogen’s Patient Finding capabilities within the CE&O scope, focusing on Rare Diseases. You’ll shape the operating model, map patient journeys, and activate patients for treatment by collaborating with internal and external partners. You will lead initiatives, coordinate global rare-disease patient identification with international affiliates, and advance innovations in patient engagement and genetic testing. This role combines project leadership, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to improve patient access and outcomes.
Responsibilites
- Lead and align the Patient Finding operating model with a focus on Rare Diseases.
- Coordinate rare disease patient identification initiatives with international affiliates for global scaling.
- Develop and implement patient finding strategies and operating models through project management.
- Define and track KPIs to demonstrate ROI and operational effectiveness.
- Lead advanced analytics and AI-enabled approaches to identify patients via prioritized data sources.
- Co-lead patient finding initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities and pain points with external organizations for pre- and peri-diagnosis initiatives.
- Drive innovation by monitoring market developments and external capabilities to improve patient pathways.
Key requirements
- BA/BS required; MBA is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Experience in rare diseases and patient journey mapping or related initiatives (preferred)
- Strong analytics mindset and ability to articulate data outputs and recommendations
- Consultant experience in driving patient pathways or patient finding efforts
- Experience at affiliate and above-market levels
- Strong collaboration skills, internal and external networking, and cultural awareness
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
