Responsibilites

  • Present cases at interim order hearings, reviews and fully contested trials
  • Prepare hearing documentation including skeleton arguments and opening notes
  • Advise on progression and management of regulatory investigations
  • Draft and approve allegations for regulatory tribunals
  • Provide wider regulatory advice and contribute to policy development
  • Potential to develop a practice as a legal adviser to regulatory panels

Key requirements

  • Qualification as a solicitor, barrister or CILEX advocate
  • Minimum 1 year's experience conducting contested and uncontested hearings in a regulatory or fitness to practise context
  • Strong technical expertise and analytical ability
  • Excellent advocacy skills and confidence appearing before tribunals and courts
  • Collaborative, team focused approach
  • Strong client care skills and the ability to manage your own caseload
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and regulatory work
