Responsibilites
- Present cases at interim order hearings, reviews and fully contested trials
- Prepare hearing documentation including skeleton arguments and opening notes
- Advise on progression and management of regulatory investigations
- Draft and approve allegations for regulatory tribunals
- Provide wider regulatory advice and contribute to policy development
- Potential to develop a practice as a legal adviser to regulatory panels
Key requirements
- Qualification as a solicitor, barrister or CILEX advocate
- Minimum 1 year's experience conducting contested and uncontested hearings in a regulatory or fitness to practise context
- Strong technical expertise and analytical ability
- Excellent advocacy skills and confidence appearing before tribunals and courts
- Collaborative, team focused approach
- Strong client care skills and the ability to manage your own caseload
- Commitment to continuous professional development and regulatory work
