Responsibilites

Lead regulatory strategy for active substance dossiers under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009
Oversee preparation, submission, maintenance, and defence of complex EU dossiers
Coordinate renewals, new approvals, and lifecycle projects for active substances
Serve as technical lead for active substance matters across EMEA
Liaise with EFSA, RMS authorities, and national competent bodies
Provide regulatory guidance to commercial, technical, and development teams
Monitor legislative changes and assess portfolio impact
Support long-term business planning through regulatory intelligence
Represent the company in task forces and industry groups
Drive project timelines, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery

Key requirements

10-15+ years of EU crop protection regulatory affairs experience
Extensive hands-on active substance registration experience under 1107/2009
Strong track record managing complex EU dossiers and renewals
Deep understanding of EFSA peer review and EU decision-making pathways
Knowledge of toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, chemistry, or residues highly desirable
Experience managing cross-functional regulatory projects across multiple countries
Strong communication skills with regulators and senior stakeholders
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote international environment
Commercial awareness and ability to balance compliance with business priorities
