Responsibilites
- Lead regulatory strategy for active substance dossiers under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009
- Oversee preparation, submission, maintenance, and defence of complex EU dossiers
- Coordinate renewals, new approvals, and lifecycle projects for active substances
- Serve as technical lead for active substance matters across EMEA
- Liaise with EFSA, RMS authorities, and national competent bodies
- Provide regulatory guidance to commercial, technical, and development teams
- Monitor legislative changes and assess portfolio impact
- Support long-term business planning through regulatory intelligence
- Represent the company in task forces and industry groups
- Drive project timelines, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery
Key requirements
- 10-15+ years of EU crop protection regulatory affairs experience
- Extensive hands-on active substance registration experience under 1107/2009
- Strong track record managing complex EU dossiers and renewals
- Deep understanding of EFSA peer review and EU decision-making pathways
- Knowledge of toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, chemistry, or residues highly desirable
- Experience managing cross-functional regulatory projects across multiple countries
- Strong communication skills with regulators and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote international environment
- Commercial awareness and ability to balance compliance with business priorities
