Responsibilites

Lead strategic sourcing and contracting across External Manufacturing, aligned to category strategies
Translate category strategies into sourcing plans, RFx activity, negotiations, and contract outcomes
Ensure sourcing deliverables support cost, capacity, quality, service, and risk objectives
Drive consistent use of sourcing methodologies, tools, and processes across the EXM team
Own annual sourcing value and savings delivery aligned to Finance targets
Partner with Finance for value tracking and transparent reporting of sourcing outcomes
Lead supplier engagement, negotiations, and contracting approaches
Ensure contracts meet business, regulatory, and risk requirements
Support structured supplier interactions and awareness of capacity and market conditions
Ensure sourcing activities comply with quality, regulatory, and compliance standards
Identify and mitigate sourcing-related supply risks with cross-functional partners
Communicate priorities and trade-offs to business leaders and stakeholders
Collaborate with Business Development on external manufacturing decisions
Lead, coach, and develop the Strategic Sourcing team with clear expectations
Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and operating model standards
Contribute to sustainability, supplier diversity, and automation initiatives as maturity grows

Key requirements

Demonstrated experience leading strategic sourcing and contracting teams, preferably in External Manufacturing or regulated industries
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments
Proven ability to deliver sourcing value and manage savings commitments
Ability to operate effectively in evolving, matrixed organizations
Minimum 3 years of people leadership or equivalent team leadership experience
Hands-on, execution-focused leadership with accountability
Ability to lead through ambiguity and change
Strong stakeholder communication and influence skills
Solid financial and commercial acumen
Ability to create structure, discipline, and clarity in developing environments
