In this role you drive development of mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts for next-generation refrigeration and A/C components, turning ideas into validated prototypes. You work within the RAC RD&E team to mature platforms and collaborate with cross-functional experts, applying design, simulation, and modern manufacturing methods. You lead prototype testing and validation to ensure quality and reliability. You contribute to global climate goals through impactful, hands-on engineering challenges that shape future products. This position offers autonomous ownership with strong collaboration and growth opportunities.

Responsibilites
- Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts using 3D/2D design, simulation, GD&T, and modern manufacturing technologies
- Build and validate new product concepts from idea to prototype testing and evaluation
- Conduct structured test planning, execution, and analysis with advanced laboratories
- Collaborate with the RAC RD&E team, product lines, and Innovation & Technology specialists to mature next-generation refrigeration and A/C control components
- Participate in performance analysis, prototype testing, and component validation using modern tools and methodologies
- Ensure designs meet high standards for quality, reliability, and compliance
Key requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (or strong Bachelor with relevant experience)
- Fundamental understanding of thermodynamics, refrigeration principles, and system behavior
- Experience with system controls, valve behavior, and basic PI/PID understanding
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate complex mechanical behaviors into robust designs
- Some years of relevant experience in mechanical R&D or product development
