As Chief Operating Officer for the US Equities desk, you will partner with the Desk Head to drive strategy, execution, and operational excellence. You will align trading, technology, risk, and business support to accelerate priorities and scale the desk. This high-visibility role focuses on turning strategic initiatives into actionable plans, strengthening culture, and coordinating cross-functionally to deliver impact. You will shape market-facing priorities with data-informed decisions, while representing the desk to internal and external stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership position with meaningful ownership from day one.

Responsibilites

Partner with the Desk Head to drive top-priority initiatives across trading, technology, risk, and business support
Apply structured problem-solving to evaluate opportunities, assess risks, and implement data-driven solutions
Lead or contribute to high-priority projects such as product expansions, business planning cycles, and operational improvement programs
Own goal tracking, milestones, and communication processes as priorities shift
Develop deep knowledge of market structure, competition, and regulatory developments to guide strategy
Manage the desk operating rhythm—meetings, action items, and cross-functional workstreams for efficiency and scale
Represent desk leadership with high-quality, tailored communications
Oversee onboarding for new hires and transfers, ensuring a smooth, consistent experience
Monitor culture and dynamics, advising desk leadership on organizational needs and recruiting pipelines

Key requirements

5+ years of experience with strong stakeholder management, cross-functional execution, and structured problem-solving (e.g., management consulting at a top-tier firm)
Corporate strategy or COO experience in financial services or technology is a strong plus
Exceptional emotional intelligence and relationship-building across all levels
Proven ability to own and deliver results in unstructured environments
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging
Strong STEM background preferred (e.g., Physics, Math, Econometrics)
Equities or broader financial markets experience is a plus but not required; quick learning is valued
