Regional Customer Director Technology (m/f/d)

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Regional Customer Director (m/f/d) who will lead the regional development of assigned top Technology customer account(s) by positioning DHL as a strategic business partner and delivering agreed programs through a team spanning across DHL Business Units. In this key role, you will establish effective relationships with key contacts within targeted customer organizations to ensure maximum leverage for DHL's interests and work together to propose business solutions that add value to the customer's business and enhance its performance and reputation while maximizing DHL sales and revenue growth.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Build executive relationships within designated Customer portfolios.
* Manage, maintain and improve customers' business profitability.
* Conduct research and gather intelligence from internal & external sources to understand customers' strategies, operational & procurement culture.
* Identify, establish and manage multi-tiered relationships across customer and DHL Business Units to ensure a long-term business partnership and achievement of corporate goals.
* Develop and keep current and appropriate regional/country account strategy in line with country level business plans, to achieve profitable revenue growth.
* Implement the account strategy set by jointly with GCM. Manage the sales pipeline.
* Create win plan & strategy to secure new opportunity, present solution of high complexity to customer demonstrating clear business & solution fit.
* Act as key contact for customer and channel communication to account teams and internal functions.
* Meet revenue / GP targets.
* Generate new business for all business units.
* Generate sales pipeline growth.
* Improve market penetration.
* Lead and manage customer presentations and proposals, ensuring a common understanding of service expectations and solutions, both with your customers' and DHL countries/regions.
* Monitor the account performance in close cooperation with the program management team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* University degree required ( BS/BA in related discipline and 8-11 years' experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 5-7 years' experience
* 5+ years of experience in the Logistics Industry.
* Technology Supply Chain industry knowledge and experience required.
* In depth knowledge of the total supply chain for a particular industry; preferably in Technology
* Proven experience with 2+ DPDHL Divisions preferred
* Strong understanding of DPDHL products and services in all divisions
* Experience with DHL's business, systems, processes and practices required.
* Excellent analytical & problem solving skills, written and oral communication skills
* Strong presentation & facilitation skills required
* Excellent numeric, written and oral communication skills
* Strong and efficient follow up and analytical skills
* International experience and cultural sensitivity required.
* Strong customer service orientation
* Ability to operate and functionally manage people in an informal matrix structure.
* Must possess networking and negotiation skills
* Strong computer skills with Excel and PowerPoint to enhance communication effectiveness
* Can work independently and/or within a team to deliver results
* Knowledge of Accelerate principles a plus.
* Excellent English language proficiency level (German / French would be beneficial, but not necessity)
