Figures speak for themselves: It is rare to find an employee with an income of less than EUR 100,000 per annum, the experienced personnel expert explains. In brief: Switzerland is a paradise for employees - and an interesting and challenging market for employers and executive recruiters.

For example, in the summer of 2011, Reto Bleisch is searching for top executives for the Swiss national lemonade company Rivella, but also for the pharmaceutical giant Novartis, IBM Consulting or the discount portal Groupon. True to the company slogan You are looking for - we find, nothing is left to chance when it comes to searching for suitable candidates.

Based on the company’s own developed ‘MAS Search and Selection Strategy’, in the first step, an accurate and detailed requirements profile for the new employee is developed, together with the client. Thereafter, the company’s own data base is searched thoroughly and at the same time the vacancy is published on the company website, as well as on the career portal Experteer.

Concurrently, we search other electronic platforms and contact channels such as Experteer for suitable candidates, the Swiss businessman explains the process. He specifically considers Experteer as a valuable and effective service: Detailed and impressive CVs are stored on this platform. And, most importantly, the platform is being used. This is obvious, Bleisch praises. Candidates contacted usually reply within 24 hours. This is not a matter of course, he stresses. Bleisch also evaluates the comprehensive services offered and filtering tools as excellent, for example the option to search by location or radius or age and education. In general, he has already filled several positions by using the portal. To emphasise this, he provides an insight into the current statistics: as an example, a vacancy posting listed by a bio-tech company received 597 visitors. 89 of these matched the job profile and 27 applied.

Another post, where a CEO for a Swiss company was sought, received 414 visitors, 133 matches and 14 applicants. Those are sensational quotas, says Bleisch.
